DC Studios Unveils First Look of ‘Supergirl’ Following ‘Superman’ Success: Riding high on the success of Superman, DC Studios has now unveiled the first look poster of its upcoming film Supergirl. James Gunn, head of DC Studios, shared the poster on Wednesday, teasing fans with a powerful new tagline: “Look Out.”

Interestingly, this tagline is a playful twist on Superman’s iconic phrase, “Look Up.” The poster features Milly Alcock, who plays Supergirl in Woman of Tomorrow, casually drinking a Slurpee while standing next to a Superman poster. However, a closer look reveals blood on her fingers, hinting that she has been up to some serious mischief behind the scenes.
Sharing the poster on social media, James Gunn wrote, “Look Out. 2026,” confirming the film’s release year. This reveal comes less than a week after Superman, starring David Corenswet, hit theatres, demonstrating Gunn’s commitment to rapidly expanding the DC Universe.
In an earlier interview with Screen Rant, James Gunn offered insights into Supergirl’s character, saying, “She’s a mess. She’s a total mess. I mean, I think as we learn, she’s had a completely different background from Superman. A much more difficult background. He’s had this wonderful upbringing by these two parents that loved him and were very healthy. And her background was much different than that. And she’s ended up different than her cousin.”

With this reveal, DC Studios signals the start of an exciting new chapter, promising fans a grittier and more complex portrayal of Supergirl, set to release in 2026.
