Dubai Police Launch ‘Shade and Reward’ Campaign to Protect Outdoor Labourers from Summer Heat: Dubai Police, in collaboration with their partners, has launched the ‘Shade and Reward’ campaign to support labourers working under the scorching summer sun. This thoughtful initiative aims to protect outdoor workers from extreme heat, ensuring their safety and well-being while they perform their daily duties.

The event, held at Al Eyas Police Point, gathered around 300 labourers who were gifted free umbrellas to shield them from the intense sunlight. In addition to distributing umbrellas, Dubai Police provided essential advice on preventing heatstroke and dehydration, both of which pose serious risks during the hot summer months.
Organised by the Positive Spirit Council with support from the General Department of Human Rights, the campaign not only focused on health tips but also informed workers about their legal rights and the various support services available to them in Dubai. This knowledge equips them to seek assistance or resolve issues they may face during employment.

Importantly, the ‘Shade and Reward’ initiative forms part of Dubai Police’s Year of Community programme, which is designed to promote a culture of care, tolerance, and shared responsibility. The campaign underscores the UAE’s strong commitment to ensuring workers’ welfare and fostering a safe and healthy work environment.

By offering practical help and raising awareness, Dubai Police and their partners hope to make a positive impact on the lives of the city’s hard-working labourers. This meaningful gesture highlights that Dubai values the contributions of those who build and sustain its growth and remains committed to keeping them safe and supported in every way possible.
